The Ferguson family from Florida really enjoyed the cool air and the beautiful scenery. The cabin was just perfect, and we are taking home beautiful memories of our stay here. We will be back next year, God willing. Mark, Shirley, Rick, Michael Chrystal, Annabelle, Ethan and Caitlin.

The house is adorable. You have done a marvelous job of remodeling and decorating it. This has been our first time staying in a house up here. A large group of family and friends used to come camping for a week every August at Carolina Hemlocks. That was over 25 years ago. We only wish we could stay longer. It has been awesome. Rained quite a bit but not at all too much for hiking to waterfalls and sightseeing, one afternoon of golf at Mt Mitchell. Enjoyed local corn on the cob && a charity fundraiser supper at a nearby church. We do plan to return! Cecil & Carolyn Griffin, Lamont and Pam Durham, all from Chapel Hill. Go Tar Heels!!

We came up for the Mt Mitchell Craft Fair in Burnsville. We've been attending it for years. Mostly we have camped at the Toe River Campground but since selling our camper, we were delighted to find this cabin on the South Toe. We've had a great stay. The cabin is very nice and suited our needs. We brought our motorcycle and spent Sunday and Monday riding through the mountains from Mt Mitchell to the Roan. We've had a great stay and hate to leave. This was our first visit to Alpine Village and we hope that it won't be our last. We had such a wonderful time! Your condo was the best furnished and equipped of all the condos we have visited. The mountain views were spectacular and the location was great for us, since we visited friends near Boone and Waynesville. We enjoyed several scenic drives on the Parkway, visiting Little Switzerland and Spruce Pine. The Alpine Village notebook was so helpful in acquainting us with the area. Thank you for making it possible for us to have a great vacation in your mountain retreat.

Thank you so much for offering us an amazing week here! We had so much fun! Little Switzerland had an awesome cafe and we went though Spruce Pine. My grandmother lived there for years so my summers always brought me here growing up. God's magesty is so obvious here. the view and experience were exactly what we needed and we feel very blessed by it!

You have such a beautiful place here and so very peaceful. With Susan, Holli, and Leah. We laughed a lot, ate well, and enjoyed the beauty of God's mountains! And! The food at Mt Mitchell Golf Club was AMAZING!

Had a great time despite 5" of rain! Beautiful views and beautiful cabin. We even cought a couple of fish! Hope to come back again w/friends soon. What a great way to relax, especially in the hot tub! Thanks for Everything! Also the DVD's!

This place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed fly fishing, roasting marshmallows and sight seeing. The Bears Den has the perfect amenities to get away. We may be back in October. The Colemans, Raleigh, NC

We really had a great time. It was relaxing and rewarding. The children, my wife and I have many precious memories from the week spent at Claire's cabin. We went to Mount Mitchell Baptist church on Sunday and enjoyed the service and fellowship. They even helped by going to the fire station to fill up our rear tire with air (the gas station air pump was not working). We got the tire fixed on Monday at the Spruce Pine Walmart (had a nail in it). Oh well, even happens in the mountains. Thanks again for being honest and so helpful - I can tell you love your job! Thank you for a wonderful time. This is a beautiful house. There are so many fun activities to do and not enough time to do them in . We have rented many houses in the past, but this house really feld like a home. The weather up here is such a nice change from the 100 degree temps in Atlanta/Auburn. Thank you again!

What a wonderful place you have here! Had a great short trip into the mountains with our brother and sister in law who reside in Orlando. Made a trip to the Biltmore...it closed too learly but ahd a fun day despite --lunch at Sunnyside, drinks at the Bohemian Hotel. thank you for allowing us access to your beautiful retreat!

We certainly enjoyed our Fathers' Day Retreat. Having the lovely creek just outside the back door proved to be very therapeutic! The Blue Ridge Parkway was everything we remembered including Mt Mitchell and Crabtree Falls. We also had a wonderful meal at Mt. Mitchell Golf Club. Thanks for a refreshing stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather was great and we were able to hike many of the trails close by. Mt Mitchell is nice and we saw a bear on the parkway. The house is comfortable and the river brought back memories of playing and tubing as a kid -- so I was able to act like a kid again with my kids. Beth, Sarah, and Jensen, Palmetto, FL Go Gators

Great Little Cabin -- We took our three children (ages 4, 6 and 9) for a week and had a fantastic time. The river is just right in the back yard. The kids spent hours just playing in the river right there in back of the house. Water was not too deep to worry, but they could float around on inner tubes. The cabin is cute and clean, perfect for our needs. Not far to Mt. Mitchell and other short hikes to water falls. Lots of great pottery shopping. Hemlocks campground right up the road with an excellent river swimming hole and a walking trail. (3 bucks to get in for the day)

Is it time to leave already? What a wonderful time we had on this trip. The location was perfect for the kids to play in the water. We roasted hot dogs and marshmellows for lunch 3 days in a row. We will definitely be back. Thank you! The Stives - Sumter, SC

Today we leave this beautiful area, unfortunately. This is our second stay at Whitetail Cabin and is a favorite place of ours now. Love sitting on the deck listening to the river, fly fishing, and hiking. And going to Asheville for a day by way of the Blue Ridge Parkway is easy and enjoyable. We hope to return again, love these mountains!!

Really enjoyed our stay! Great cabin, loved the fact that everything was here and all we had to do is bring our toothbrush. Look forward to coming back in the fall. Thanks!

Had a great time loved the cabin. Did lots of hiking, white water rafting, and some fishing. Went over to Little Switzerland and had dinner at the Cave there and lunch at "Up Street Cafe" in Spruce Pine. Was lots of waterfalls, our favorite is Crabtree falls off the Blueridge Parkway. Spent the weekend with our neighbors Mitch and Babs Jones who are celebrating their 27th anniversary and both had b-days this week. Found some great new restaurants at Sprice Pine, "Knive and Fork" for gourmet food. "pizzaArt" for good Pizza. Tons of wild turney!

We had a great time at a wonderful place. This was our 3rd year to this area and 2nd year in this cabin. We love it! Everything was great and Mr. Chandler is wonderful to work with.

Loved the last visit - had to return again. Peaseful, running waterfall, beautiful area.

Ancient drums from fires of many winters past...Carpe Dieme...shower of communia among tranquil voices of the stream...watching baby birds in their next on the porch. Thanks David for sharing this wonderful place and you the memories we take with us.
